For medium to large rollouts...
plus! network
I require a fast, efficient and scalable content distribution technology for my network. Can you tell me how the PLUS! Network might help me achieve this?
The PLUS! network is a Mesh network topology, available in a number of formats:
- Shared network (utilising our existing server network in different Tier-1 data centres worldwide)
- Private Network (Utilising private servers for just your traffic in the same data centres)
- Purchased (a licensed application which can be installed on your own servers). The Applications require a Windows server (32 bit or 64 bit), and MySQL to operate
The topology of the network allows for a single upstream ‘push’ of new content and playlists, and for the servers to then mirror the content to as many of the nearby servers as possible before allowing the players to ‘pull’ simultaneously from those servers, providing a true broadcast of content updates. As more players and media servers are added, the addition of further servers makes the network scalable.
Everything that happens on the PLUS! network is controlled via user access levels, and is monitored and recorded. The network takes care of:
- Content updates
- Time and Date updates
- IP address control
- Software updates (when tested and ready for release, the system automatically upgrades the required parts to players which have been ‘deployed’ to, seamlessly and silently)
- Play-out logs
- Reporting
- Security for remote access and control of players
- Status reporting and historical changes on players
- Encryption of data
- Error reporting and alerting via email and SMS message
- Automatic fault recovery (also in the case of replacement of players)
Is Acquire KD what I’m looking for? I need a low-cost total digital signage solution.
Does SOLO fit the bill? I would like to become an Acquire partner or reseller? What do I do next? I am looking for a digital content provider. Can you tell me more about your other services? I require content distribution over a large network. Tell me about multicasting over the PLUS! Network.
