Acquire was originally developed from our own in-house tools which were in turn used to create our client’s applications. Each of our clients wanted something different, although the core parts (flexible control, robust playback, logging of what was shown, etc) remained the same. So Acquire grew up with the core engine being that strong foundation upon which to build unique applications, but always with the ability to add functionality for each of our different clients using plugins (as of course everyone wants what everybody else has got – just a little different).

Although you would never know what drove many Digital Signage and Interactive Kiosk solutions (as all you see is the visual content they are designed to playback), Acquire gives you the flexibility to expand the system from just being a dumb video player to one which can integrate to your EPOS systems, react to webcams, securely browse websites, print information, send and receive information via BlueTooth and much much more.

Primarily, these plugins allow us to extend the core features of Acquire without rebuilding, testing and re-releasing new versions of Acquire every few days – instead the plugins can be developed alongside our main Acquire development. Some of these plugins are already included with the purchase of your Acquire package and some may be purchased as additional extras.

But as everyone is unique, we can also create these plugins for your specific requirements, making you a custom developed digital signage or interactive Kiosk solution with the minimum of time and cost.
